At least you recognise your attention span is not that good, since I'm too old to be a Millennial and I'm never advocating clearly inferior remakes as it is a mark of poor taste, something the Millennials are often accused of, and rightly so, but then they are not the only ones, are they? People who live in glass houses should not throw stones etc.

Blah, blah, blah.  And I can't throw stones, since your gypsy ass stole them already.

Well, according to your avatar, stones aren't your weapon of choice anyway ...  ;)

Deadwood is probably the best writing on the American West, ever.

I think I should try watching this, since both you and Shelf like it, haven't heard Ide say he likes it, so that's added confirmation.  :)

Very bold words, those. Will give it another try.

My favorite detail about "Deadwood" was that, at first, the makers considered filming it with authentic profanity of the period ... but it sounded unbelievably hokey, so they had to drop it in favor of a lot of modern-day swearing.

I found it dull.

Well, your "that" guy so it's understandable.  :P

Meh, it's not as authentic dialogue as, say, Open Range attempted, but it's not exactly Goodfellas either, people.

The funny part was that it was a deliberate choice. They actually considered going "period", but according to the makers:

Quote"... if you put words like 'goldarn' into the mouths of the characters on 'Deadwood', they'd all wind up sounding like Yosemite Sam."

Open Range was a good movie.

Another Day, Another Time - Celebrating the Music of 'Inside Llewyn Davis' was released this week so I decided to finally watch the movie.

The album would've sufficed.
