I tried to watch Fawlty Towers once. I couldn't get past the casual xenophobia/racism.

Is Manuel really a Spanish stereotype, though?  After all, he does have a job.

He had to emigrate for it and only works as a waiter, so yeah, he might. For all we know he has a degree in telecommunications engineering.

So, one day before last New Year's Eve the fuses in my apartment blew out. I started panicking as this was one day before a party I was hosting and called my dad and started screaming how he needs to get some handyman here quickly because nothing works and this is just INSANE. Dawid calmly took the phone away from me and explained to my dad what the situation was and what was needed. Later, when we were waiting for the handyman to arrive, Dawid had this idea that we should remove the safety thing from the fuse board and check each fuse switch individually. It didn't work. Later, when the handyman arrived he told me that we were lucky the entire board fried before we tried the Dawid's idea, because if it was operational at the time, we would have probably caused a fire.
