They should have quit making them after the fall of the USSR.

CBS is remaking Odd Couple.

SON OF A BITCH

Well, look on the bright side:  they've already cast Felix--and if anybody can be a tight-assed OCD goofball, it's Matthew Perry.

Still,

STOP RAPING CHILDHOODS DAMMIT

They already re-made it anyway.  Remember the Ron Glass version?

CountDeMoney

No, no I do not.  I might have been busy that week.

Eddie Teach

They've adapted the formula countless times anyway, including your fave rave 2 Broke Girls.

But that's different.  Kat Dennings is balls out slutty hot.

Deadwood: A+

I just saw this was on HBO Nordic. Might give it ago when I'm done with season 9 of Sunny.

I admit I have never been able to get into Deadwood. Not saying it's a bad show, but I have tried several times and it hasn't hooked me.

I think I might have become too accustomed to the pacing of contemporary series, and I have developed ADD for anything made 10 years ago  :(

Martinus

There is a type of shows (like Deadwood, Mad Men or Boardwalk Empire) that I appreciate on an esthetic/film making level (i.e. they are well made) but I just can't get drawn into. Perhaps I am just not interested in the period they depict or something.

Sheilbh

Deadwood's probably my favourite show. I think it's perfect and not that long, for a TV show, which is always a bonus.
Let's bomb Russia!

CountDeMoney

Deadwood is probably the best writing on the American West, ever.

Eddie Teach

Shame McShane hasn't been getting decent roles since then.

The remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still is on.  Not the worst remake, because at least Jennifer Connelly is in it, and she has those dreamy, blue-enough-to-just-maybe-be-psychotic eyes.

But the character Klaatu, for whatever reason, reminded me of this Twilight Zone short from the 1980's, A Small Talent for War.  With a John Glover appearance!

It's only 8 minutes long, so even you Millennials should be able handle that.   :P

Remakes are not specific to Millennials.

Having the attention span of a bipolar cracked-out tadpole with Snapchat is a different story.

At least you recognise your attention span is not that good, since I'm too old to be a Millennial and I'm never advocating clearly inferior remakes as it is a mark of poor taste, something the Millennials are often accused of, and rightly so, but then they are not the only ones, are they? People who live in glass houses should not throw stones etc.
