So Netflix is coming to Austria. Their offering is not clear yet, but House of Cards will most likely not be included, because they sold those rights to cable channel Sky.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

The Brain

Just watched Pandora's Promise by Robert Stone, a reasonably well-made documentary about environmentalists who have changed their position to pro-nuclear and their reasons for doing so. Obviously I knew already that anti-nuclearists are ignorant, but the extremely basic shit they didn't know about nuclear power and radiation before their conversion is amusing. That complete lack of curiosity about how the world works combined with very strong feelings about what should be done about it is alien to me.

Entire movie is on YouTube:

It Might Get Loud.

What happens when you put three guitar legends into the same room? Jimmy Page, the Edge and Jack White. One remembers his past glory, one is sentimental about how he started (as he's basically finished now) and one rocks. Oh, and then a bad cover of The Band - The Weight.

All in all, an interesting documentary that peaks in the intro.
"Af alle latterlige Ting forekommer det mig at være det allerlatterligste at have travlt" - Kierkegaard

"JamenajmenømahrmDÆ!DÆ! Æhvnårvaæhvadlelæh! Hvor er det crazy, det her, mand!" - Uffe Elbæk

Ok, 'Noah' was the most annoying film I've seen in the last 2-3 years.  <_<

Was it the deviation from the source material?

Prometheus

Pro-ID religious crap.  Not worth the time I spent watching this.

I admit Prometheus was a crappy movie, but religious?

It doesn't have to come out of an iron age book to be religious clap trap.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

I don't know any major religions that believe we were created by aliens.

Well, colour me puzzled. What exactly was religious about this movie?
