Perversion for Profit is on TV. George Putnam describes the horrors of perversion and how high-speed presses and rapid distribution help it influence America's children. :)

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

I found Alien to be creepier than Aliens.

Oh yeah;  saw it around 10 years old, couldn't watch it again until after Aliens.  Without a doubt, the scariest movie for me as a kid after The Exorcist.

I tend to agree, but I first saw Aliens when I was 8, and Alien when I was 13.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

I didn't see either until my late teens...

Aliens was like Alien without any of the suspense. Alien also scared the crap out of me the first time I saw it. Speaking of Alien, though, saw Prometheus last night....meh. Now I can go back and read all the spoilers on this thread. When was that...December sometime?

I found Aliens plenty suspenseful right up until the point Vasquez said 'Let's rock!'.  That was what was so great about it:  It created a mood before it hit you with all that action.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind, still a well done and enjoyable movie.

Followed that with some History Channel UFO files. :D
Grand Duke of Lurkdom

The Mist, actually quite terrifying even if that religious nutjob was a little too overplayed. And the ending was way too 'fuck you'.

Yeah it's a good one, still hold up well; I saw the last directorscut/special edition a few months back and it's one of those films I could watch again in another couple of years time.
