Didn't notice the lack of youtube.
The UKN thing was to be expected though considering they were having the news network play a major role in the story. Would be a pain to do so much with real channel 4 news, not that I think they would even agree.

I liked it when the reporter got shot.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

Hangover II.
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

If Microsoft Excel decided to stop working overnight, the world would practically end.

Finally got around to watching 'Reservoir Dogs' - enjoyable.

"Mr. Brown...that's a little too close to Mr. Shit."

Might watch that again tonight.

Hall Pass.  C+.  Most of the good gags are in the trailer.

Drakken

The Aventures of Tintin, captures vividly the spirit of the comic books, with no beat nor any dragging scene. I loved it, 4.5 Unicorns on 5.

Showa era Gamera movies.  Rock solid entertainment, though you can skip Gamera: Super Monster, as it is predominately stock footage.

Macbeth with Patrick Stewart.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I got David Brin's "The Postman" on audiobook and thought to myself.. this is a very good book, I'll go and rewatch the movie :bleeding:

The book is ideological (It takes a village FTW, Ayn Rand sUXXORz) and presents it's ideology convincingly and manages to present the bad guys as believable. The movie just skips the thinking bits and redoes the plot from spartacus.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

I really enjoyed the novel.  The movie was terrible.  Just awful, with no redeeming qualities.  It wasn't even a good action film.
