So, I watched that Black Mirror. That was....odd.
Rather good though it seemed a bit too heavy handed with its "OMG teh powa of the media and teh interwebz" message. But at least it was accurate with its talk of twitter and facebook, usually when TV talks of such things they mention some minor site which nobody has ever heard of.

Never heard of it no.
I tend not to be a big police drama fan and it seems they originally showed when I was away.

It's way more than a police procedural, and gives a really vivid portrayal of Yorkshire in the late 70s/early 80s.
Sounds good, I shall have to look into it.

The last episode of Community was rather weak.  Tonight's Christmas episode was solid gold.

They used Channel 4 news, but invented a fictitious 24 hours news stataion UKN iirc, they used the name of youtube and facebook, but when the princess' videos were up they were not on youtube, but on some other video sharing site. I'm pretty sure that, apart from Channel 4 News, they only referred to name branded companies as the medium for actions of others. I was impressed how their fake news didn't look like normal fake news.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.

Didn't notice the lack of youtube.
The UKN thing was to be expected though considering they were having the news network play a major role in the story. Would be a pain to do so much with real channel 4 news, not that I think they would even agree.

The Real Channel 4 news couldn't be slanderd like that in a Channel 4 TV production.

When I was watching it I was reading tweets from journos and friends in the industry about how accurate the social media aspect is, from a newsroom perspective.  Which is....striking...

Is Grimm any good?
Good at being crap.
Is it a supernatural rip off? i liked supernatural untill it started being all about angels.
Yeah, 'urban fantasty' cop show except with no tension, no snappy Whedonesque dialogue, and no real plot.
PDH!

Darth Wagtaros

Christmas episodes of Warehouse 13 and Eureka.  These are usually good. And they were.  Shame there won't be no more.
PDH!

The Larch

The SoA season finale was rather dissapointing.

Not bad but quite...meh.

The Cartel twist & the last song was pretty cool but other then that boring episode.

Overall this season wasn't very good.
Colonel Caliga is Awesome.

The song was cool, but I didn't like the Cartel twist, it killed all the buildup the special prosecutor had set up during the whole season.

The writers painted themselves in a corner with that one. It was either that or kill him like they did the FBI agent.

We even got a hint of whom going to be the big bad of season 5. Some old fashion Biker vs Black gang warfare.

Also, alot & I mean ALOT of people die in SoA.

Did you know David Labrava, Happy, is a real biker. He's an HA.

Colonel Caliga is Awesome.

Can I have a movie marathon suggestion? Anyone?  :)
