Seen bits of Revenge. Better than most of the crap.

Disney's Once Upon a Halloween isn't as good as Disney's Halloween Treat.
PDH!

Revenge and Pan Am are my favorite new shows of the fall(favorite of the year is The Killing.*) Still watching Terranova as well, but that's just to pass the time.

*Though I suspect it will be Game of Thrones when I get my hands on it.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Ed Anger

My annual viewing of Masque of the Red Death. The Vincent Price one, not the Frank Stallone one.

Corman's take on the Poe stories are true classics.

MadImmortalMan

Saw a trailer for a Three Musketeers movie. One of the leads is apparently a swordfighting girl. I can't wait.

So is she D'artagnan or what? Is she Starbuck?

It's like her whole career now consists of being Action Girl in her husband's crappy movies.

And no, the story of the Three Musketeers isn't improved by having crazy air galleons and turning De Winter into a fighting machine (who is presumably one of the good guys).
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

that was probably in the english version of the book ;)
I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

If Microsoft Excel decided to stop working overnight, the world would practically end.

Watched The Woman, directed by Lucky McKee.  White bread lawyer kidnaps a feral chick and attempts to "civilize" her by tying her up, beating her and allowing his son's sadism to blossom while the rest of the family looks on.  Catastrophe ensues.

Meh.  Three lawyers are evil out of five.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

The last adaptation to the Three Musketeers was awful.  The best version is the one with Michael York.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Sophie Scholl

Just tried to watch Ironclad.  Had to shut it off about 35 or so minutes in.  What a total waste.  A few good actors and what appears to be a decent sized budget totally given over to a shit script with dialogue that would make George Lucas cringe and a story that is just slightly less fantasy based than Lord of the Rings. :yucky:
"Everything that brought you here -- all the things that made you a prisoner of past sins -- they are gone. Forever and for good. So let the past go... and live."

"Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did."
