I've been watching The Russian Five (documentary about the Detroit Red Wing's five Russian players.)  Thus far the highlight (other than the Darren McCarty / Claude Lemieux fight pictured here:

)

is seeing vintage Don Cherry talk about how much he hates Russians.  I haven't found the clip yet, as Googling "Don Cherry Hates Russians" yields an awful lot of unique videos, but this one is my favorite thus far: Russians are NOTHING.

To be fair he hated a lot of nationalities. I think he hated the Swedes most of all.

He really only liked "good Canadian boys" (though he was pretty iffy on the frenchies).

The closer they were born to Kingston, Ont. The better.

I miss Don Cherry. :(

Because if there's one thing we need right now, it is nationalistic xenophobes who are granted air time to promote the use of violence.
He's an excellent hockey analyst, despite his shortcomings, unlike many who are on the air right now on TVA Sports.  But he's Canadian, a pure product of this country, as pure as they come.  Disliking French Canadians, except when they speak mostly  English and play for a non Quebec team is kinda expected.

Why, when rhe Russians play the game, would the Swedes be the most hated?

Cherry didnt like them because they did not fight.  Only dim witted Canadians did that.

There were Swedes to the left of him, Russians to the right

There's a series being made, about Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson.
I'm not really interested, but I am impressed by the pictures of Sebastian Stan and Lilly James:

Anyone seen Tennent?  Should I rent?

Or counterproposal?

Tenet? Rent and watch it twice.

It's a typical Nolan vehicle - some action and fun mind candy if you go with the flow and don't focus too much on the details; veers into trouble when it gets too enamored of its own cleverness.  If you don't mind a thick side of ham with your acting (and I don't where appropriate), than Branagh's performance is a draw as well.  Probably worth it if you dig some action and are looking for a change of pace from the usual Marvelly fare.

I keep wanting to rewatch Tenet just to make sense of the climatic battle - if it has any.

But yeah, it is fun, clever (although MM is probably right in that is probably too clever by half) and certainly unique. Which is rare in today's blockbusters.

Yeah - he was clearly having a lot of fun. And I'm glad

Wow.

I thought Tenet was fucking terrible. And I *like* Nolan movies.

Rocketman was alright. Despite the hints towards being a musical at times and my being rather Meh on Elton john.
No mention of Watford in the whole thing <_<
