For what I think is 4 years, the BBC Radio 4 podcasts I listen to have warned of Ads. This week, for the first time, I got one!

Really, what do they consider of?

The one's I download typically have the annoying 10 "BBC Sounds" trailer on the front and often on the end a 30-60 sec promotion for another bbc radio series.

Is that what you mean by Ads or is it actual product/service adverts from 3rd parties>

Never got a promotion for a different series in a podcast.

It went - Ad Warning - Actual Ad! - BBC Sound - Episode - Ad again. Up until now it was Ad Warning - BBC Sound - Episode.

The ad was for Canadian Auto Insurance. I think they just never had a Canadian advertiser before.

Seems the new season of Jack Ryan is being filmed in Vienna.

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Season 1 was decent mindless fun, season 2 less so.

Josquius

Yeah, surprised it was renewed. I didn't even finish the second series, it was dull.

Incredibly so. The whole thing works better as movies. The character is jut too unbelievable for a sustained amount of time.

Without Remorse. Okayish.

Started out Okayish, but man did it go from mediocre to really bad quickly.

You could tell it was going to such ass almost immediately from the trailer.

Had nothing to do with the original book, except the main characters name.

anyone watch Invincible? It's really good. Takes a lot of superhero and anime cliches but manages to make it good.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

Darth Wagtaros

It was good. I like how they incorporated all the cliches and such.  It fit the setting, and there was some subtle acknowledgement of how ridiculous it was.
PDH!

Yeah, the In Our Time podcast always starts out with a warning that "this podcast is supported by advertising outside the Uk" and then there is never an ad.
