Reminds me that in WW2 my father was briefly in Czechoslovakia with the 90th infantry division, part of Patton's 3rd Army. He talked about it a bit. I think the war was over or nearly over and he mainly talked about meeting some civilians. But his unit was only there briefly, as he said US troops pulled out since it was to be controlled by the Russians.
