Quote from: Tamas on March 10, 2022, 04:22:43 AMI like The Boys, if we had real god-like humans they'd be far closer to how they are depicted there than in the various children's stories that have become the main form of entertainment the last decade.

The only issue I have is the manner of their existence. All being created by one eeeevil corporation and being kind of comic book fictional heroes themselves as well as real ones. That's weird.
I'd prefer to see a realistic take on superheroes with more organic disparate origin stories.
What with that meaning super villains would have more reason to exist too.

Nicholson was great. It's not his fault the character was based on him.
To sleep, perchance to dream. But in that sleep of death, what dreams may come?

Yet much better than Nolan's pretentious gritty shit. Nolan is lucky there are two Batman movies by Joel Schumacher.

You're all retarded. No wonder Marvel does so well with the crash helmet crowd.

Well, I binge watched Undone on Prime. (It's only 8 episodes of under 30 minutes.)

I would recommend it if you liked BoJack Horseman's season 4 episodes "The Old Sugarman Place" and "Time's Arrow" as it uses similar techniques. Mixed with the first Life is Straneg game, I guess? And Bob Odenkirk is awesome. The rotoscoped art style will not be for everyone. It was a quite interesting ride. It was renewed for a second season in 2019, but it hasn't materialized yet. It's a bit open ended, but even if S2 never comes out it can stand on its own with that open ending.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Marvel CGI-crapfests fans are precisely the ones who do not know which Batman is the best.

To be honest, I have not watched the last one, 3-hour long. Not feeling interested, despite having a cinema card which means it would be part of my subscription unless it's a super premium/whatever marketing newspeak screening.

At least Nolan's movies had outstanding sound tracks.  If you are stuck with watching Batman movies, the Nolan ones at least give your ears some pleasure.

And, in fact, I'd argue that The Dark Knight was, stand-alone, the best of the Batman movies (not a high bar).  I only saw the other Nolan Batman flicks after I saw that one, and I can understand why they would color one's recollection of TDK.

I don't do meditation.  I drink alcohol to relax, like normal people.

Easy.  The best is the one with the Joker that wasn't made in 1989 :P
