Saw Logan today. So great, so moving

Edit: Up there with The Dark Knight and Captain America: Winter Soldier for best superhero movie of all time.

Although this really was much more a Western then a superhero movie.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

It's the common consensus for best of the MCU films.

I'm in total agreement with that consensus.

Channel surfed XMen Apocolypto last night.  Jennifer Lawrence is totally wrong for that role.  She's a kinda chunky (by Hollywood standards) chick with a kinda weird face who's sexy in spite of that.  Film her naked in blue body paint and she looks like hell.

Moonlight. Not the story of garbon, alas. Also Manchester by the Sea. These movies were quite similar, slow, serious, brooding, not overly entertaining. /shrug

In a recent cartoon I was watching, a typewriter was referred to as "a vintage laptop".

Started watching Peaky Blinders. Very good so far. Charismatic performances, great work recreating the setting, better-than-most-movies cinematography and camera work.I love high-caliber brit shows. Plus you can catch up on 3 seasons for the price of one American season.

Peaky Blinders is awesome. I love, love the look of the setting. Plus "Red Right Hand" - perfect opening tune.  :D

Doctor Strange. Average. Not bad, not particularly good either. Pretty formulaic.
