I have been waiting for Zhivago to hit an acceptable price point on blu-ray for ages. :(  It'd get me that much closer to completing my "David Lean super-epics that I can't find the time to watch" series.

And speaking of long-ass movies, Reds is a long-ass movie, and I've got like twenty, twenty-five more 2013 films to get through, including a long-ass movie about lesbians whenever they deign to fucking release it, so I can do a proper top ten and bottom ten for the year that ended two weeks ago. <_<

Too true for comfort, actually.  I've put a moratorium on movie purchases till my finances are in much better shape.

I wonder what's coming out in 2015?

I saw Helix last week-end.  While it does look like a good show, I am unsure it will be my type of show.  It seems heavy on the biology stuff, experiments, microbes, viruses, etc and this isn't my kind of science.

Decided to catch American Hustle tonight.  Meh.  Watchable with some good performances, but not worthy of the praise I've seen lavished upon it.  Worth a redbox/netflix/rental, but I wouldn't say droop the price of a ticket on it.  The music is fantastic at the very least.
