If it's the scene I think you mean, it's fine. It's the Han didn't shoot first whitewash that is hated.

Who cares who shot first?  The important thing is that the non-handsome, non-Caucasian (and therefore evil) character was the one who died.

You weren't paying attention.  He swapped out the footage from Ben talking to him before he switched off his targeting computer, and also after he fired his torpedoes.  It's all fucked up.
