I am the weapons squad leader right now, even though I am not the senior E6.
I will probably stay in this gig until we redeploy.

I know nothing about the modern military. How does someone become an officer? Is it a matter of going to officer school? How do you get in? Can someone like Siegy who is a sargent go to officer school if he wants?
