The Golden Age of the now defunct Tri-Fora System was:

Pre-Diaspora EUOT (which is to say, pre Iraq Attack)
11 (16.2%)
The Rise of Languish as an Exiiles hangout
9 (13.2%)
The True Tri-Fora: With KAPLand providing the outlet of the Nasty
26 (38.2%)
Consolidatoin - KAPLand collapses as Languish absorbs the flotsam
12 (17.6%)
The New Languish, now shed of the years of crap posts and SPAM, rising like a drunken, autistic pheonix from the flames
6 (8.8%)
Fuck you, fuck this, fuck everything and Jaron most of all
4 (5.9%)

I agree that the HoI crowd destroyed the "golden age" of the Paradox forums. And as P'dox started focusing ever more on this group (which is fine, because they are their largest customer group) I grew less and less interested in their products.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

The golden age has yet to come, bitches.

The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

You misspelled "phoenix" in the poll.

If Sav got back to writing Ann Frank fanfictionpeople may flock here.

Graduate school cut down on my time to write furry porn.   :(

In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

Languish works best when we have an external enemy.  Fanfiction.com, godawfulfanfiction.net, the red gem emo-comunists, and Indonesian labor leaders supplied us with a common enemy that we could all use our "Talents" against; and those periods were our golden age.

1660s-ish  :contract: :mmm:

I think Languish is the only place in the English speaking world where discussion of a golden age would lead to the suggestion of the high point of the Dutch East India Company.

Internal enemies are important too; unfortunately with the death of the old forum I lost my enemies list.   :(

I have to go with a toss up between the time that I ruled EU-OT with an iron velvet gloved fist of compassion and humility, and right now.

You should always put your enemies list in courier font; it has panache and that will set you apart from the run-of-the-mill paranoid maniac.
