Once I'm in, I'm probably going to go back to my goal of collecting each ship class.  Between that and maxing stats, it'll probably keep me occupied for some time.

It'd take forever for me to get there.  In beta, I was leveling my toons evenly; only made it to cruiser with the tactical Benzite, and found out I'd been squirreling enough stuff away to buy an escort as well.  When beta ended, I had a Shikahr, an Excalibur, and a Saber; the bridge crew were all at stats of 7-8 in whatever I had available to me (and this was after giving up on my Bajoran engineer after a couple of days).

Yeah, its a bit of a design flaw.  The precious commodity in this game isnt energy points, its BO skill points. As BB observed a while back the true crafting part of this game is acquiring the right set of skills for your BOs.

Yeah it's not like they said they wouldn't be rolling out High Level content till weeks after launch...

Really it makes me laugh my ass off the people who zoomed to Admiral and whining about lack of content (not saying you are one of them from this post mind you fate)

There are a couple of people in fleet who have their first characters at admiral and now working on  lt cdr or cdr alts
I think they are in school or playing MMO's are their only socialization as seems to be a bunch of lan nerds in fleet.


Though their is also a very easy way to gain skill pts that some call exploit of just playing in Deep Space encounters over and over again apparently.

I know many people aren't used to it, but going from Captain rank 1>10 probably takes less time than going from Lieutenant rank 1>10. There isn't any upward scaling in the time invested per level like in many MMOs. You don't really need to exploit anything either. 2 Exploration, 1 Patrol plus 1 episode quest is sufficient to achieve a rank. By the time you reach another rank, more of those open up.
