The Minsky Moment

Siege do your Iraqis know about your background?  If so how does that go over?
The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists.

Ha! Am I the only one looking forward to Siege getting one between the eyes?

IIRC he described a situation where he was outed as an Israeli by one of his teammates and that it didn't go over well with the Iraqis.

He said he got all freaked out but I don't remember the locals having any particular reaction.

I think I remember him saying they had some kind of negative reaction, completely shocked or something, and told his team to never mention it again

You & Martinus should talk.

Oh, wait!
Colonel Caliga is Awesome.

What Marty & Jaron really want is for Siege to take one in the leg, so he'll have nothing to do but sit around getting drunk and posting on Languish.

Here is a present for Siege:

Another year before Disney dumps her and she is preggers in Tennessee.

Oh she is so not going down that path, Ed!!!

She has a MINEFIELD in her future she'll need to navigate, which is complicated by the fact she has no singing talent, but its been one before.

Stay safe out there Siegy. You are our man in the trenches and one gotta respect that if nothing else. :)

DontSayBanana

 Siege, you might be obnoxious, neurotic, and a moron at times, but keep your diet lead-free, OK? ;)
Experience bij!

I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

Interesting story and pictures, Siege. Personally, I may not always agree with the people on this board, but I'm happy when they are not getting shot or killed or some such. Oppose the war, but support the troops and all that.

Siege, have you gained weight?

  I have not gained weight!
I keep a healthy diet, and I don't eat hajji food on the streets.

Better than MREs, I can tell you that.

Some Hajj sneaking behind me to steal my hajji bread and my fake Raybans.

Some suspicious activity right there, but since these days we are just tourists, instead of searching those guys I just ordered my RTO to take a picture of me with the dudes in the background.
