A really, really flat period for the Hawks (and a B+/A- "hustle" period for the Flames).  I'm hoping that it's a "freshman jitters" type of gig for the half of the Blackhawks roster that haven't played in the playoffs before & those jitters will wear off in the 2nd period.  The Hawks have done a decent job at killing off the Toews double-minor & I'm hoping that they can use that as a momentum springboard after the intermission.

Or something.  Despite the 1-0 deficit I am thoroughly enjoying the 1st playoff game that the Hawks have played in a loooooong time.  They haven't played one since before my 6 1/2 year old daughter was born...

Chi-town has equalled things up (didn't see it, making supper).  We're heading into 3rd period all tied up.  And I'm wearing my Calgary jersey, drinking my Blue, and calling on all the mojo I can to bring Calgary to victory.

It wasn't the best goal.  There was some screen action, but it was still pretty saveable.  Still, Chicago was totally dominating at the time, and so those sorts of things will happen.
