Brady is still in with a 45-0 lead. No class.

Claerly, the Titans need to start cheapshotting everything that moves.
Brady came out after the first set of downs, first score, in the 3rd quarter. Or at least very early in the 3rd.

He should have come out in the 2nd quarter.

How exactly did Kerry Collins manage to complete a -22 yard pass?  That must have been a sight to behold.

There's no "third way" between right and wrong, son.
Correct.  But there is a third way between conservatism and social democracy.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

A screen where the runner tries to reverse field?  Only way I can see it.

Couldn't a reciever have fumbled with an offensive player recovering the ball in the back field? Or how would that have been recorded?

I think you're right.

I'd like to think that, when Jeff Fisher's overrated ass is fired over all this, the Ravens had something to do with starting all this in last year's playoffs.

QuoteColumn: This is the worst Titans team ever

Commentary by David Climer
THE TENNESSEAN

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — With the impending bye in the schedule, we now have almost two full weeks to ponder the obvious question:

How low can this go?

The answer: The bottom is the limit.

Judging from what happened in the snowy chill at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, the Titans have sunk so far, so fast that they hold the distinction of being the worst team in the NFL.

Worse, they now are at the low point of their tenure in Tennessee. Forget the Pacman years. Forget the 0-5 start of 0-6. These Titans have fallen and they can't get up.

This winless hole wasn't dug in a day. After playing the reigning Super Bowl champion Steelers tough on opening day and leading Houston 21-7 in the first half of Game 2, the Titans have gone totally in the tank.

"It was 59-zero," running back Chris Johnson said. "Of course people are going to ask if we quit."

For the record, nobody in the Titans locker room suggested that they quit. But it's early in the season yet.

"Football is an attitude," veteran linebacker Keith Bulluck said. "It's fair to say right now we do not have the attitude that it takes to win in this league."

All things considered, they better hope 86-year-old owner Bud Adams has a sense of humor or is distracted by other matters. This sorry season in general and the uncompetitive nature of this game in particular could — and should — leave a mark.

This team and this coaching staff are at a crossroads. There is a serious disconnect. Jeff Fisher's message is falling on deaf ears. Personnel decisions have backfired. This is a bad team that is badly coached.

A younger Adams would not have taken this sitting down. He would have demanded change. It'll be interesting to see how an older, mellower Adams reacts to owning a team that is now the laughingstock of the NFL.

Yes, there are two other winless teams in the league. But at least St. Louis and Tampa Bay don't lose by scores like 59-0.

Think about it. A 59-0 game is the kind of mismatch you get in junior high or Pop Warner. Maybe the NFL should consider a mercy rule or at least let the clock run continuously in the second half.

Has any NFL team ever taken this kind of dive? Remember, the Titans opened last season 10-0. Since then, they are 3-10, including the current 0-for-'09 skid.

"It's about as bad as it gets," said quarterback Kerry Collins, whose bottom-of-the-barrel passer rating of 4.9 spoke volumes.

And it's not like anyone is going to take pity on them. This is a take-no-prisoners league.

A classic example: After building a 45-0 halftime lead on Sunday, Captain Hoodie (Patriots Coach Bill Belichick) opened the second half in a five-wide receiver set that further exposed the Titans overmatched defense and resulted in another easy touchdown drive.

As for all of you screaming that Vince Young should play quarterback from this point forth, it's not the answer. But given the current state of the Titans, why not try something outside the box? If nothing else, Young's insertion into the starting lineup would create some interest.

And the Titans are in sore need of drama right now. After all the great expectations of the preseason, they run the risk of becoming irrelevant in the final two months of the NFL season. A city that desperately wants a winner instead is stuck with a pro football bottom-feeder right now.

Beyond that, the level of frustration is palpable. As things went from bad to worse late in the first half, Bulluck was observed running to the Titans sideline in an angry funk.

Who could blame him? For 10 seasons, he has put his heart and soul into this organization. Now he's in the final year of his contract and bound for unrestricted free agency after the season.

As loyal as he has been, Bulluck probably can't wait to get out of town.

Yes, there are mitigating circumstances. Aren't there always? The Titans were minus both starting cornerbacks and their No. 1 nickelback on Sunday. That's bad news against anybody. It's a death wish against Tom Brady, Randy Moss, Wes Welker and the rest of the fellas.

But as porous as the pass defense was, there is no excusing an aimless offense and a total absence of attention to detail and discipline.

As bad as it was, there is no guarantee the Titans touched bottom on Sunday. They have 10 games remaining and nothing except pride to play for.

Based on what we saw on Sunday, it's now a losing trifecta. The Titans have no offense, no defense and no pride.

No one would pull their starters in the first half, especially when the QB is still rusty from missing an entire season.

I would have, if for no other reason than to keep him from getting hurt.
