Just curious.  Here in Alberta most mask mandates disappear tomorrow - July 1.  There are still requirements in specific situations (on public transit, and for me they're still being required at the courthouse), but in the majority of situations you don't need to wear one.

I don't know if I will keep wearing one when I go out to stores or wherever though.  I did get my second dose, but it won't fully kick in for another 13 days.

So what is Languish doing?  Are you still wearing a mask?  Why or why not?

Masks become optional here effective July 1.  There use is still recommended, just not mandatory.  I am not sure why it is not mandatory if it is recommended.  I will likely follow the recommendation and continue to wear a mask.

Habbaku

Nope. The lack of effectiveness combined with my being fully vaccinated for some time now means I only wear it in places I'm expected to--shops that require it and packed public events.
The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

It depends on where I'm going and how crowded it is. If it's a grocery store that's regularly full of people, I wear a mask. If it's a farmer's market outside and kind of busy, no. Big box stores that are rarely packed, like Lowe's, no.

Your poll doesn't account for that, so I voted Jaron.

Stil have to wear one indoor and public transportation. So yes.

Sheilbh

Yes - if it's indoors/an enclosed space.

It's still mandatory here there until, I think, July 19.
Let's bomb Russia!

Admiral Yi

Only on the city bus.  Signage says that's from the CDC and it will be lifted 9/13.

Valmy

Generally not. I will do so if it is required though, I always have mine in my pocket.

But, you know, I was vaccinated months ago now and have tested negative pretty consistently so I don't think wearing a mask is going to protect others much, especially when generally very few others are wearing them.

I'm fully vaccinated so no.  Of course I don't really go anywhere except the grocery store and I only go there early in the morning when very few people are there.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Masks have vanished almost completely in a matter of days. They're only mandatory on public transport now.
I still carry one in case some place asks me to, like at the dentist yesterday.

Our outdoors mask mandate expired 5 days ago. In my area most people are still wearing it. I still wear it to most of the time too.

Admiral Yi

Taking the Fredo side, outdoor mandates were a little silly, unless it was a place where people were packed together.

Barrister

Oh that's one thing - we have never had an outdoor mask mandate.  Ours was always for indoors only.  Why you would mask up outdoors completely escapes me.

Austria moves from FFP2 to regular face masks in shops, public transport etc. tomorrow. The government hopes to get rid of the mandate three weeks later, but experts are pessimistic.

Made sense early on. After the summer of 2020 it was evident transmission outside wasn't really an issue though.
