Look, I really don't know how the border in the south of the US is, how porous it is, how many who come illegally, but as a country, a nation, built on immigrants in waves for 200 years, it just seems somewhat un-American to deport people en masse.

Not that countries like Norway don't deport those whose claims for asylum are found to be wanting, and even deport people who've lived here for years because there was a white lie on their application.

Supposedly these are ad-hoc decisions the parents have to make in a super stressful situation without chance to contact legal assistance or their social circles to possibly find other solutions. Hardly due process.

If you are innocent and have nothing to hide and are deferential to the police and ICE, you will not be arrested and don't need due process. Only criminals insist on due process!
