And yet, despite even making a personal appeal, you can't get it through your thick head that this might not be the time to continuously point out how America is failing its populace / that said populace is part of the reason for the failure.

Ok, then I am not sure why you are upset by someone identifying why your loved ones are at risk.  Surely knowing the cause and addressing it is a lot better than simply going the route of denial.    Also, it is not exactly an intellectual topic for me.  You seem to forget the Pandemic is world wide and some of the worst outbreaks in Washington state are just a few hours away from where I live.
