The company I work for did away with paid holidays and, technically, vacations.  Instead, now we accumulate paid time off that we can use whenever we want (within reason, and with prior notice) so anyone can turn any day into a paid holiday for themselves.

Project Management consulting.  I can take time off; I just don't get paid for it.  But that's a small sacrifice for the flexibility I have working from home, plus making almost twice what I used to get in my previous job.

LOL, I am cash-and-carry as well;  no sick time, no vacation time, no holidays, no benefits--I don't work, I don't eat.  Unfortunately, it's about what I made when I was 22 years old, but that's a small sacrifice for the flexibility of wondering if Today is My Last Day at Work  :lol:. 

Rather liberating actually, as I get to be all "living-in-the-moment" about it, like a living-on-the-edge Millennial with a mortgage.  It's so much more exciting that way!   :yeah:

Are they closed on Saturdays over there as well?  That would be 4 days...IIRC, US banks are prohibited from being closed for more than 3 consecutive days.

I'd gladly give it, but i kinda need it and I only have one.  Brains however, seem superficial.  Lots of people these days vote without one.

THis weekend is easter egg weekend since i've a little girl.
The  next three days we're going to get a lot of chocolate eggs.
