Well, perhaps Theresa May is not so bad after all. :D

This was already covered up thread.  :P

Maybe Leadsom is planning on the shortest ever ministerial career this century?

I sort of pity her husband, did he not ever tell her to think before speaking or does she suffer from potty-mouth?

Well I got that Wrong; the rail minster has just resigned, probably in response to the worsening Southern Rail chaos.

Though maybe just doesn't count as being just a junior minister (non-cabinet?) and a hang-over from the Cameron govt.

That's a pretty invasive question.

It's the "all Britain's are gardeners" motif carried to absurdity.

I blame the Kaiser, a complete cockwomble.

No argument there

To be fair it was not like Germany got better at not pissing off Britain after they got rid of him.

I like Theresa May in spite of her not having had kids.

The Allies lost the peace so it had to go to round 2  :(

Somehow the Allies forced the Germans to blame the Jews for everything and invade and annex their former allies from WWI. Somehow. Bastards.

Sorry I hold the Germans responsible no matter how much one might want to self-flagellate. It was not like they were going to impose a lenient peace on anybody if they had won.

the rail minster

Born on the wrong continent.   :(

;)

Would that position be like the head of the state rail company (our equivalent to president of Amtrak; (although, presumably, nowhere near as depressing)) or the head of the governing body for rail (our equivalent to the director of the Federal Rail Administration) or something else?
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

German support for Austria-Hungary during the crisis after the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, combined with Austrian over-reaching, almost guaranteed that there would be a war between the Dual Monarchy and the Serbs, but Russian asshattery turned it into a World War.

Of the 5 European Great Powers that went to war in 1914, the Brits bear the least responsibility for the war.
