If he has not buried himself politically for good, I will be very disappointed in British voters.

I mean, he was the main face of Leave. He won. He has a chance to take charge of the negotiations and fight for what he was so loud-mouthed about. Instead he adopts an "I made this mess, now you guys clear it up!" stance.

He was hemorrhaging support among MPs. I never thought he'd win but as of this morning I doubted he'd even be one of the final two. And unlike Corbyn he realises he needs a parliamentary base.

Query is whether he can leverage his backing into a senior job...
