Wonder how they actually phrased the question there.

It's one of the tragic ironies of Brexit  that the areas that voted for it are most likely to be worst hit by it because I actually think it's the agricultural and manufacturing sectors which will be hit hardest and, because those sectors have so many small businesses, it's more difficult to prep.

People in the UK think the UK is more important to the world than China, Russia, India and the EU

Wow. Brexit is gonna be some real eye opener for these folks.

Richard Hakluyt

No need to discuss the minutiae, putting the UK ahead of either China or the EU is simply ridiculous.

Spoken like a true Lib-Dem.  :P

The breakdowns by party support and Brexit opinion are telling in this case.

They are interesting results that raise lots of questions...........eg why would millennials think that China is only #4?

:hmm:

I wonder whether they weighted the generations so it was equal leavers and remainers from each no matter their actual leanings?

Well. Russia and (for now) India are valid.
But it does illustrate something we've known for a while of how absolutely deluded leavers are about Britain's place in the world. Perfectly explains the they need us nonsense.

The remainers aren't doing a whole lot better.

Since the EU doesn't have a military, and its members diverge politically on the world stage, I can see a perspective to put the UK ahead of the EU (the question is vague).

China, on the other hand....
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Yeah, but I bet if you took the same poll in France, France would be #1.

They had to throw in one to make it up to 10 choices, the intern doing the poll had been to Australia in their gap year.
