I'm Facebook friends with many people I disagree with politically-- I'm sure some of my views offend them and vice-versa.  So I generally try not to post much about politics.

Yep. Facebook is where I say happy birthday to people :P

I got tired of that shit, so now no one gets a Happy Birthday from me.

Yeah, same. And if I do it's by private message.
I removed my birthday from public view and went from something like 50 happy birthdays to absolutely nothing the next year, it was awesome.

Sometimes you guys make me wonder if I'm the only marginally sociable person in this board.

Fuck you asshole! I'm a friendly sociable guy.

The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists.

Yeah, well Marty still has me on his ignore list, what more can I do?
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Years ago I got a FB friend request from Marti.  I thought it was a bit odd but accepted.  Then at some point I guess he unfriended me

Admiral Yi

He conducted a mass unfriending after he was exiled.  He might have done others during one of his six or seven rage-quittings.

Ide's a socialist.

But is he a sociable socialite socialist?  :hmm:

Ugh. Human interaction.

Sometimes necessary - particularly for splooging on someone without suffering potential criminal consequences.  :P

I suppose in the future the government will arrange facilities for that, though.  :hmm:

The ten to twenty people that matter will get a phone call, the rest can go fuck themselves.
I really prefer not to get a birthday message from someone I haven't had any contact with for 5 years and was never my friend in the first place. Don't tell me that's not sociable

I was probably before that.  I suspect he friended me by mistake in the first place and hastily corrected it when he realized who I was :D

Well, he is friends with you on Facebook, so ...
And isn't that the truth.  As annoying as the gay-haters can be, they're so much less so than Martinus.  Martinus is the worst person.  So much of the bad things that happen to gays around the world are his fault.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.
