so, in Hungary, the government has started buying up the electricity providers. Because it's easier to win elections when you can just decrease utility prices and pay the difference from tax money. But ANYWAYS, the first change with one of the providers was rather symbolic of the increased efficiency of state ownership.

The provider's web address was "elmu.hu" The new ownership has changed this to:

elmuemaszenergiaszolgaltato.hu

It isn't really useful - as I hear you need a REALLY flat surface for it. But it has flashing lights so nice to grab attention.

My Scottish colleague picked up a can of Irn Bru for me from the local UK/US food shop. I'm a bit disappointed. It's not nearly as sweet as I was told. And the taste is ... bland? A bit like cheap ball chewing gum from vending machines.

Although, one can supplies 38% of my daily recommended sugar intake :lol:
