A lot of old people are like that.  Princesca's grandfather is 94 and he still insists on putting on a dress shirt and pants every day, even though he spends 95% of it sitting in front of the TV in a wheelchair.

My dad always wore shirts. Or sweaters. And sweatpants with matching tops. I'd never seen him in t-shirts.

But leaving the house always meant putting on a nice pair of jeans/slacks/corduroys and a shirt; in his final years mostly plaid.
