Began a game of CK intent on a Saxon reconquista of Britain as the Duke of Cumberland and my first son is born Norman. <_<
When I play anything in the British Isles it's always Galloway for some reason (I have ancestry from that area, so maybe that's why I'm drawn to that Duchy).  I always try to take control of Scotland first, then Ireland, and then England.

In my last Galloway game I conquered Man and was working on a 'marriage' solution to acquire the Scottish throne from the Dunkelds, but out of the blue the Scottish king attacked me.  I did well early on, actually conquering and pillaging Lothian, but once his Highlanders arrived I was driven back.

Then I pledged fealty to the English King.  :menace:

After the dust settled I acquired Argyll, and was building up for an eventual independence bid, when I'd noticed all of my brothers had departed the court and I only had daughters.  Then I died.  GAME OVER

Now I've got a d'Hauteville game going... my second favorite dynasty to play.

I'm becoming addicted to "I Survived A Japanese Game Show," which is running in the time slot that "Lost" usually has.  Judge Bob is my favorite on the show.

Stupid email tricks:

A strange email popped up in my inbox just now.  It was a draft press release by a backbench conservative MP attacking Ignatieff, then some further comments by some PR flack, then a final version.  Somehow it involves Ignatieff being anti-Ukrainian.

And then the MP somehow manages to add "Whitehorse PPSC Lawyers ALL" to the cc list.

Whoops!

Reason No. 1076 of why I like the Yukon.

I was out staining my fence after work yesterday.  I stopped working, cleaned up my equipment and came inside at 10:30 pm.  The sun was still up, and still plenty of light to work with.

What the hell, why can't I custom my screen saver?
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

You don't need a screen saver, anyway.

I want one, and I want the one I want.

I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth.

No, it's but I had the hard drive replaced because it died. There was a option to use your pictures before and now there isn't. <_<

It's the OS, telling you a Screen Saver is useless.

As opposed to 6 months from now, where it would be "went outside in near total darkness, then froze to death."  :P

No.

Maybe it's because I'm not running as the administrator. I forgot how wonky Vista can be until you do that.

How do I do that again?

EDIT: Not the problem
