You know what was a great movie? Gangs of New York. Daniel Day Lewis is excellent as the protagonist.

Indeed.  I bet 90+% of people don't realize that those fancy, colorful pictures of galaxies and nebulae are all false color.  If you look at them in a telescope, they're a very boring dull grey.

New population statistics for Vienna is out:

31% of the people living in Vienna have been born in foreign countries.

18% have at least one parent who was born a foreigner, bringing the total number of "people with immigration background" to 49% (out of 1.8 million).

23% of the people in Vienna have a foreign passport (like me!).

Take foreign to mean non-Austrian and....just like the old days no?

Not quite. You would have to raise the number of people living here by 15% and reduce the area of the city by 20-30%.

But yeah, a lot of "traditional" Viennese names will have a distinct Bohemian, Slovakian, Hungarian or Croatian touch.
