I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

I don't know, but I love exploring mass transit systems or even just reading or watching documentaries about them.
So its not just me then, that's good.
The other day I even found myself drawing a map for how the local one should be extended

Washington DC has an incredible system.  Rome...not so much.

I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

Depends on the country I guess. Britain is supposed to be rather bad, this EU directive is pretty bad too. In Germany, this directive was not implemented as the Constitutional Court suspended it several times already with injunctions and will rule on it later this year - most likely saying it is unconstitutional (otherwise the highly unusual injunctions wouldn't make sense).

Had a rather scary thunderstorm last night. It was like one endless lightning flash for over half an hour, low rumbling thunder all the time, and torrential downpours of rain and hail with visibilities under 100 feet and strong winds.

We have thunderstorms quite often in Kentucky, but almost never in Massachusetts.
