I have to go to downtown Detroit this afternoon to take a "skills" test.  I applied for a job at Wayne State University, but I must take this test or they won't even consider my application.

I'm a bit put out that I have to do this.

Methinks it's their way of reducing the number of people who get to the next stage.

Going to downtown Detroit reduces the number of people ... ?

Probably.  :D

I love online poker. Full of Euros to annoy the fuck out of. Overaggressive chumps get pissed when you call their all-ins with good hands. Plus, spazzing over play money = AWESOME.

I've rarely played online.  I have a regular tournament with a bunch of good amateurs and semipros, usually about 30-40 players.  It's fun, and the competition is pretty fierce.  I've even made the money a couple of times.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

The most I ever to get is to play against my friends, who seem to think all-in on the first hand is a good strategy. As long as they do that, I keep winning though.

Actually, last month's tournament some guy brought a couple of friends that were hyper-aggressive and were betting 50 times the big blind right out of the gate.  Really messed with the usual flow, but once a few guys got a read on them, they all ended up getting scalped.

We play every other month with a couple guys from work. Our IT guy either totally wins or totally loses - he has a tendency to play without looking at his cards (or going all in right at the start). Bad thing is you can't really read him. It's a bit like drunk kung-fu.
