RSO records didn't need U2, after almost forty years as a top record label they are still going strong.

Yeah, who would have needed all those millions anyway

Generally better to help when assistance is needed - rather than trying to catch people out. :)

Not sure they were an RSO type of band. RSO had The Bee Gees and the Grease soundtrack. (I know this cause I had those records)

Grease?  I am going to have to reassess everything I thought I knew about you.

On CNN they reported that some IRS chick, didn't catch her name or title, took the fifth today in hearings about singling out Tea Party organizations before the House Government Oversight Committee. Then there was further drama when the Chairman turned off the mikes while a Democrat was trying to read a statement.

Peculiar all around.

It's getting close to the point where it'll seem odd to encounter someone who actually fought in WWII, I think.  Princesca's grandpa is still around, but that's the only WWII veteran I personally know anymore.

Two Canadian porn channels are in trouble for having insufficient Canadian content: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/2-porn-channels-may-need-more-canadian-content-crtc-says-1.2561637

QuoteThe federal broadcast regulator wants the naked truth about a couple of porn channels.

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission says AOV XXX Action Clips and AOV Maleflixxx may not be airing enough Canadian content or closed captioning.

The X-rated specialty channels are supposed to air 35 per cent Canadian programming over the broadcast year and 90 per cent of its content should have captioning.

As part of proposed licence renewals, the commission plans to hear evidence on the apparent non-compliance.

It also has questions about the channels' ownership structure.

Possibilities include revocation of the licences or renewals for shorter periods.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

Mountie Faggit Porn wouldn't have gotten it's start without cultural content laws:

Sergeant Preston:  Thank you, O'Connor for untying me from the train tracks.  I never realized what a strapping, brawny lad you were.
Corporal O'Connor:  I'm sorry Snidely Whiplash got away, again.
Sergeant Preston:  I'm sure some maple syrup and a nice back rub would make you feel better
Corporal O'Connor:  That sounds divine, why don't I take off my shirt so you can work my muscles.
