You're right - I'd say it all again. :menace:

Huh.  Well what da ya know?

I do wonder what that map would have looked like pre-NAFTA.

I'm surprised.  I thought the north of the country was desert and the Yucatan filled with discontented Mayans.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

OK, fifty or sixty regular cars (P-51 unit cost $51,000 [not typo], 1940 Ford coupe [apparently "coupay," according to Gatsby and Bonnie and Clyde] about $1000).  You take my damned point.

10 and 50 are significantly different multiples.  Plus, that is cherry-picking numbers from a period of rapid technological development in the platform:

P-40 (1941): $24,000 (nearly doubled to $44,000 just three years later)
P-51 (1945): $51,000
F-86E (1953): $220,000
F-100D (1957): $697,000

How about 1919? Lots of surplus fighters, planes hadn't evolved into crazy expensive yet... Just a thought.

The northwest is mountains, but mountains tend to hold mineral wealth. The northeast has always been fertile and wealthy. The Yucatan, yeah, I was surprised at that as well. I assume coastal resorts and corporate plantations push the GDP up there, probably very unequally distributed.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

I'm currently shopping for a fridge. I'm told second hand is the way to go, especially in Japan where everyone is super clean.
Yet nonetheless...they all seem to smell rather funny inside...

They all do, even the brand new one. That's how an empty fridge smells.
That's good I guess...still scary.

A lot of the most populous states in Mexico are the poor ones on that map, which is per capita. I think Veracruz is second to the DF in population, for example.

Teledyne corporate overlords are asking for a 16.5% profit margin for fiscal 2014 out of my employer.

 That's not happening. Best Year ever is 11%.

One goofy Gulf state air force was still flying Hunters in S&T's Oil War.  2-1 space filler.

Those Hunters have four 30mm ADEN cannons.  What's not to like. :menace:

F-8 was better.

I like the F-8. HC did a good episode, "Last of the Gun Fighters", featuring it.

They'll get it.  Just takes some liquidation of some assets.  Hopefully not your asset.

My asset is heading home in a few minutes to watch the playoffs.

Is this a US based company? If so,
They'll just move employees over to Obamacare. See easy.
