I don't know why you are taking issue with it / seems like it was the hospital's press release type statement. It was also at the end there, so deemed least important piece of article.

I was looking up stuff about the development of the US ASAT program--does anyone know if the old, inaccurate nuclear devices were actually safer, in terms of debris generation, than the kinetic weapons currently deployed?  It seems like they would, if they relied on thermal absorption by the target satellites (and if their own debris from detonation would be highly accelerated and clear escape velocity easily).

I just don't like rendered (drawn, CGI) porn.  It always looks weird.

A rendered person can be hot, but at a certain point, it becomes uncomfortable.  I think it's probably because the simplification used in cartooning for the human figure--particularly, say, faces--does not translate well to genitals.  Why this is, is up for debate; possibly because we see faces all the time, genitals rarely, so only photographic representations really do.

I also imagine that part of it is due to the implication of some kind of attenuated sexual connection when it's a real model, whereas a purely rendered creation is very clearly masturbating.  The idea seriously impacts my theory of sexbots.
