Actually in part I think it's snobbishness and jealousy that most of the scoops are by the Guardian US. The NYT just keeps referring to 'a foreign news organisation'

Once the American press develop their own angles they'll give us even more news about this, that no-one will really care about.

Edit: And the man fronting for the Guardian for this is Glenn Greenwald who is insufferable and normally always wrong

I've become increasingly tempted to buy a mac.
I need a laptop anyway and working with multiple platforms would be a help.
But I took one look at the prices even of the refurbed units. err no. 2-3* the price of a similarly powered windows system.
Think I might just have to try and get OSX onto a regular laptop.
