It looks to me that only one crazy Germaphobe seems really interested.  Maybe that guy has been doing that trick all day.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

Alternatively the guy running the other demonstration in the far corner is doing something really amazing ?

I think it might have been warmer on the Oregon Coast yesterday and today than it was in Augusta, Georgia.   :hmm:

Hey look, our man is back from toppling the latest government.

This reminds me about how much next weekend is going to suck after the grass and shit finally dies off and I have to put down a couple pallets of those grass squares. :bleeding:

My recommendation to you:  lock everything down.  hood locks, door locks, wheel locks, and a locking gas cap.

I've been looking at that stuff, or at least the hood lock and the gas tank lock.

The doors already have locks though.

E: Oh if you don't already, you should check out the little stubby antenna I replaced the stock thing with.  I can't even see it from the drivers seat anymore, and there's no chance of it whipping back into the vehicle and fucking with your paint.  http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00651CLCS/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I mostly use the satellite radio and all that, but it doesn't seem to have any issues in town that the other one didn't (there's a spot down the road where every station goes to static for about 10 yards, no matter which antenna I use, which is strange).

I agree with Yi.  We read it in 9th grade for a reason;  it's on a 9th grade level.
Yeah. I've always preferred other Fitzgerald novels. Though it is beautifully written - unlike Steinbeck or Hemingway.

The Rampage Products hood locks are awesome, but they're a complete bitch to install

But I highly recommend them, as you don't want to come out one morning to find that your battery was stolen.

Apparently, 4-door Jeep doors are pretty popular in the theft department.  Easier to steal one than to buy one, you know.

Will do, as that whip antenna annoys the shit out of me.

The one I was eyeballing is a Mopar one that goes inside the grill, but these might be better since they also replace those shitty rubber latch things.  Nice.

Shit, I guess it makes sense that they'd just take the doors off.  Those things look like they'd be ugly as hell though.  Can you paint them?

Hell yeah man.  When I first drove it home, it was dark already, so I couldn't see it, but after the first day (and not being able to find one locally), I ordered that thing from Amazon.

Yeah, I wasn't too thrilled with the concept of the under-the-hood latch in the grill, particularly if you want to billet it out sometime, ya know?
I get more people asking me where I got those locks for the hood at gas stations and convenience stores than anything else.

Those were just an example;  I got keyed bolts, more similar to these:

You can get them in cylinders for lock keys, or for actual keys.
Piece of cake.

They do look pretty great.  I'll definitely have to pick some up.

Oh those are way better.  Quadratec has a set for 07-13 JKUs for $32.  Hell, I'll just order them now.   :)

When you're ready to install, be sure to get all the tools they say in the instructions; you'll need them.  And set aside about 2 hours; you'll have to remove the headlamps first, it makes life much easier.  But they're worth it.

Yeah, you can put them on without even opening the doors.
I got really nice license plate locks from these guys, too:  http://www.lockum.com . Their website's rudimentary, but they're fast.
I have an entire key ring of nothing but keys for shit on the Jeep.  And I haven't even started on the inside yet.

And watch that Quadratec catalog, man.  It's worse than crack.  :D
Or, as one of our esteemed Wrangler owners once said on the forum, Jeep stands for "Just Empty Every Pocket".  You get hooked buying shit for it.

Ah okay.  I've already had to remove the grill and headlamps to replace them (I put Sylvania Silverstars in there. They help visibility a lot), so I know what to expect there.

  I've managed to limit myself to only a pair of oh shit handles for the front, but I've got about 30 tabs open in a third chrome window of nothing but Quadratec stuff (and one Treadwright.  Warden A/Ts in 285/75R16.  I've heard nothing but good things about them, but I'd need to buy new rims and shit to go with them, which ups the cost by about $400ish).
