Well you've almost got home advantage with the Spanish cities, many of use have no idea, me especially I thought Las Palmas was on those islands(baleric) but 2nd guessed myself for safety and clicked near Malaga and ended up 529km out.

The Balkans are really a balkanized clusterfuck.  It's hard to remember where all those new countries are, and that damn Croatia is so stretched out that even knowing where it is doesn't help.

I'm still not sure even which country it is, if I had to guess I'd say Slovakia, but I guess a FROY is probably right.

That's a trick question, on the Balearic islands you have Palma de Mallorca, and on the Canaries Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Then again, I got no question asked about Spanish cities, but a couple for 2nd rate French or German cities that really got me freezed for a couple of seconds. Who cares where Rennes is, anyway.

That's a trick question, on the Balearic islands you have Palma de Mallorca, and on the Canaries Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Ah, so it works both ways if you're not entirely sure, though I don't think you click on the Canaries as they might be too far into the Atlantic. So the question was probably about Palma de Mallorca.

And what's with the obscure Californian cities, for safety one goes for the centre of the state and their all 400km away in the far south.

That assumes you know where LA is, got 74k on my 2nd and last go and LA was one, knew it was southerly but not that far south, guess you live and learn.

I'll have a go at the Asian one that looks likely to have greater error possibilities.
