We've been playing "Would you rather fly in a Dreamliner or sail in an LCS?" in the office today. You have to get your fun where you can...

I'd vote cruise with Francesco Schettino in charge. :)

I think I've just managed to set up my wireless router....but I'm not sure if that is true or not.,...

My wifi started flaking out on me last night.  It would occasionally kick out and then come back on (reboot?) a few seconds later, but it got worse, to where I'd have to manually reboot it and would then only work for a few minutes.  So I updated the firmware to the latest Buffalo-approved version of DD-WRT & am crossing my fingers.

Poll: Republicans say Obama's hiding something
By: Breanna Edwards

More than a third of Americans — and 64 percent of Republicans — believe that President Barack Obama might be hiding something, according to a new poll Thursday.

Thirty-six percent of the surveyed voters think the president is possibly "hiding important information about his background and early life," the Fairleigh Dickinson University PublicMind survey found.

Sixty-four percent of Republicans think the president isn't coming clean, 33 percent of independents agree, and 14 percent of Democrats say so, too.

"This conspiracy theory is much more widely believed mostly because it's been discussed so often," said Dan Cassino, a professor of political science at Fairleigh Dickinson. "People tend to believe that where there's smoke, there's fire — so the more smoke they see, the more likely they are to believe that something is going on."

The most common — and debunked — conspiracy theory about Obama is that he wasn't born in the U.S. and therefore isn't eligible to be president.

The poll also found that 63 percent of registered voters believe at least one political conspiracy theory. Other popular conspiracy theories include the notion that the government knew about the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks before they occurred (25 percent believe this to be true) and the belief that Obama committed voter fraud in the 2012 election (19 percent buy that argument).

Higher levels of education and awareness of current events, however, are linked to a reduction in belief in such theories, the study reported.

Democrats and independents with more political knowledge were found to be more likely to dismiss conspiracy theories, while Republicans with more political knowledge were more likely to believe the theories.

The poll was conducted with 814 registered American voters from Dec. 10-16, 2012 and has a margin of error of +/- 3.4 percentage points for the full sample.

Dose anyone know when jobs for summer starts tend to start being listed?
I'm in a sucky situation right now with all the jobs being about immediate start or in Japan based ones the start of the regular school year start. Want to start looking, unemployment is scary.

Thats what I used, the Japanese firmware was horrific. And in Japanese. Had to use an old version though.

So the courier service who's holding my calendar hostage have decided to deliver to my office address after all, after I informed them that I would hand the matter over to Austrian consumer protection organizations.

It's surprising how often that threat yields the desired result.

So I'm looking at the tracker today, because delivery was supposed to happen this morning. It says that the pick up from the shop was cancelled because the package wasn't there. Of course I was - again - not notified about this by the courier. <_<

So, emailing them again to ask about the status.

There's this guy at work named John Jones, so naturally I keep calling him "Martian Manhunter".  I'm starting to think it might annoy him, which makes me want to call him that even more for some reason. :hmm:
