Queensryche is far from a one hit wonder.  That said that is  a pretty shitty lineup. :X

Got myself a new treadmill (NordicTrack T 5.7) today, along with a new pair of shoes (those super light New Balance Minimus) to go with it.  My ten year old Asics have finally been retired.

Anyhow, while assembling the thing I dropped one of the big support bars directly onto my knee, which is now an interesting size and color.      No running for a couple days for me.

Better have that checked out. I could walk around with a broken kneecap (went blue, hurt and caused big swelling) for a few days before the docs screwed it back together.

(Was in the military at the time - only went to the docs straight away hoping to get out of weekend duty - docs sent me home over the weekend (despite the diagnosis broken kneecap) and shuttled me to the military hospital the following Tuesday.)

Deep Purple are playing at Wacken next year. But damn, 150 EUR for three days? Also, attendance is now ca. 100,000, which is a bit cramped for my tastes.

60-65 (not sure anymore euros for three day is so 2002 ;) Back then, there would be only 30,000 as well. Good times...

Damn.  Really?  I've been icing it for the last couple hours or so now I guess, but there's still a nice red/purplish lump just to the lower right of the kneecap.  I was going to give it a couple days and see how it was and all that, but maybe I'll give the Dr a call tomorrow so she can eyeball it and tell me what she thinks.

That'd be just perfect if I managed to break my damn knee doing something stupid like assembling a treadmill.  <_<

E: As a side note, the treadmill seems really sweet.  20" x 55" track, motorized incline, backlit display thats really easy to read, speakers and an MP3 plug thing for tunes.

Well, for me it was the whole knee that swelled up, so might not be as bad in your case. But lots of stuff going on in the knee, and an improperly tended injury can mess things up long term, so better safe than sorry, I guess.

Yeah, I'll give her a call tomorrow.  My knees are...crunchy...as it is, and I already walk like an old man when the damn weather changes.  No sense in risking further damage.

  Appreciate the good advice.  I'm dumb and probably would have just "let it heal" on it's own heh.  "PURPLE?!  WHATEVA!  IT MATCHES <wife's name>'S SHIRT TODAY!" *hobbles around like a cripple*

Bonus:  It's another excuse to just sit around drinking beer and being generally lazy until my appointment!

What's the consensus?  It would be very nice if this could actually work, but obviously it first has to be independently verified.
