My brother just ran off.  He had a screaming match with my mom and dad and then he left.  Why must gays be so hysterical?
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I can see that to some limited extent, but I think it's a wider social issue; it seems fashion for people to act that way nowadays. 
I rational, but pointed discussion/argument is so out of date and nowhere near DRAMATIC enough.

Eh, he's always been this way.  He was when he was a teenager, and now he's 27 (he had to move back in cause he kept quitting jobs.)

I live in an area of town with lots of Turks/Kurds/Ex-Yugos. I hardly notice them.

My most annoying neighbours: Spaniards.

They have the apartment directly opposite mine across the yard and have their balcony door open most of the time. The sounds from their apartments are funneled right into my living room if I have the window open, as I'm wont to do on warm days. It's like having a shoebox next to me in which agitated Spanish folks are debating. Muted voices aren't their forte.

Yesterday evening they had a gathering, with what sounded like a dozen people (might have been just three, though), jabbering till late into the night.

This morning (unfortunately also early birds like me), husband and wife continue.

Speaking of birds - even when they're quiet, their parakeet isn't. "CHEEP-CHEEP" it goes all day.
