So my mother who is big into geneology went and had one of those dna tests to trace lineage done.
She was kinda bummed with results

I knew. By comparison, I am cosmopolitan and quixotic in my reaching out for international parallels to the Southern experience and longing for a nearly exclusively imagined past. Mostly you just get thinly-veiled or unveiled longings to bring back lynching, which is so lowbrow
