Isn't Obama from Kenya?  How do you expect a man to run American when he can't even keep his native land from killing lions.  Unless he's in on it, in which case maybe putting a dog on a roof isn't so bad.
I do not hate you, nor do I love you, but you are made out of atoms which I can use for something else.

I got a free T-shirt for the PD office picnic.  :) On the back is this year's slogan: "Confess To A Priest, Not The Police." ^_^

Does anyone actually ever buy the interrogation line "tell us what happened now and things will go easier for you?"

I genuinely try to treat people who confess to police (and who are co-operative) more leniently than the "fuck you copper" types.

If you're caught read handed it is in your best interests to co-operate.  Problem is - you might not know if you're caught read-handed or not.

Do people still say "copper"? It sounds very 1930s to me.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

No, it's generally "fuck you pig" and variations on a porcine theme.

:(

Even if they don't confess - I genuinely try and take as a big consideration how they treated the cop that night.

Right.  Until you drop the PO Assault and Resist Arrest charges to lock in your Theft +$500 plea bargain slamdunk.   :glare:
Next time, you come to the ER for the tetanus shot, pal.

Fuck that - once they start swinging at the constable, the most important charge they're facing is no longer theft under...

I knew you'd love the term.

Seriously - the introductory title for a police officer here is Constable - abbreviated Cst.  They don't wear bobby hats. :(

All the time.  Most people are quite rightly scared shitless by an interrogation, or even some hard-hitting questions during a traffic stop.  After watching tons of DWI stop videos, I've seen people cave to that line all the time.  With DWIs and otherwise, half the work is finding a way in the law to overcome the confession or incriminating statement that's already in place.
Hehe yea

Stopped a kid the other night DWI. It's chilly up here during the evening time so his windows are rolled up with the heat blasting. I contact and of course he rolls the window down. I get hit with a strong oder of intoxicants. Of course the angle that I am at while talking to him I can already see his eyeballs pinging. I tell him why a pulled him over and ask where he's coming from, which is a bar. He continues on to say he's had a "couple" of beers  . I notice up on his dash board a hand written note stating. "Too drunk to drive, took a cab, please dont ticket me".  :lmfao:

He failed his SFST's miserably. BAC was .24

It's always a "couple" beers.  They only remember two: the first one and the last one.
