I love English Summers as night is in real short supply; I got home at 10.20pm BST and there was still a fair bit of light in the sky, I've eat done a few things and quickly it's 1.40am, I'm still wide awake but need to get to bed soon as there's less than two hours of night left before it starts getting light all over again.

edit:
Sunrise here is 4.51am and sunset at 21.23am, but I think you can add on the best part of an hour for dawn and dusk so we only really get about 5 1/4 hours of night at the moment.

edit 2:
oh apparently it's also the soltice tomorrow / 20th June.

He at one time talked about Veterinary medicine, but abandoned that for the wild wacky world of accounting.

Finally said "fuck it" and moved my old couch out of the guest bedroom and into the back living room.  Plugged the netbook into one of the HDMI ports on the TV back here.....

.....I'm never going to leave.

When I first moved to Japan the freakishly short summer nights really got me down. Going from lovely mid-summer dark at 10 to super short and dark at 7....I caught SAD in August.

I always used to love early summer and getting home from a night out at what shouldn't be too crazy a time yet the birds are singing and dawn is beginning.

Never going to leave what: the guest bedroom, or the back living room?

Damn, I always forget how far north Britain is and then I see something like this. 10pm
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.
