Get a block heater.  You're just killing your engine starting it in -40 weather.

Don't you live in your car?  You probably are alright without one.

Actually, after some research, I guess it doesn't really get cold in Alaska.

Well I should get one as the city asks people to plug in when it gets below 20f, but temps wise being on the water keeps us from getting as cold as interior.

Current temps here are about 16f
fairbanks it is -1f

I managed to make it to work alive. FJ FTW.

FJ FTW indeed.

Mine made it through one Alaska winter without the need for snow tires or a block heater; and is going strong through a second.

I'm looking at a getting a remote start just for the luxury-factor, though.

Get a block heater.  You're just killing your engine starting it in -40 weather.

It only got anywhere near close to that one time last winter.  And my work doesn't have the needed outlets(stupid, I know), so it wouldn;t be used half the the time it is needed anyway.

That must be a misprint. 80% is more like it.

Wouldn't be very noteworthy if it were 80%.
