The title is confusing. Sounds like no Irish people have ever made it to the end- doubtless fell to the obstacles of the innumerable pubs along the route.
Really odd phrasing to mean she was first place out of Irish people.

In several surveys, the overwhelming first choice for what makes Canada unique is multiculturalism. This, in a world collapsing into stupid, impoverishing hatreds, is the distinctly Canadian national project.

Yes.  I watched the vid just because the title seemed to be implying the impossible.
The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

Savonarola

I've been reading a book about information.  The author started to discuss English language dictionaries, their origins and ultimately the Oxford English Dictionary.  Once a word, or a meaning, enters the Oxford English Dictionary it can never be taken out (although it can be recategorized as rare or obsolete.)  The example he used was "Hallucinate", which appears in two of the earliest English dictionaries, Robert Cawdrey's "Table Alphabeticall" (1604) and Henry Cockeram's "English Dictionarie" (1623).  In those cases one of the definitions is "To Deceive".  The only attestation that we have that Hallucinate ever meant "To deceive" is found in early dictionaries; it's found in no other writing of any kind.  That definition is still listed in The Oxford English Dictionary.

(As is the modern meaning of AI tools hallucinating; so long past the time when AIs hallucinate that meaning will still be part of the OED.)
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock
