When did books start having 90 second movie style trailers?`

It was so good that i have no idea what book they were advertising, nor who the author was.  Seemed like the same book that's been written about 100 times.

You northerners need to learn your place ;) :P lisboeta sounds way better then your dialect :contract:

Our place was where the language was born, precisely.  :contract: Take that crypto-Moor!

As for dialect, there are dialectS and a distinct language no Norte, something even a "lusophone" like you should know.  :P

In Europe every province, town, and neighborhood has their own dialect lol. I was talking about Porto's dialect, carago    :P

You mentioned northerners, not Portuenses.  :contract:

Why did windows think it was important to roll out a default on weather and new widget? Do I really need a quick way at work to see what stories the Daily Mail is peddling?

They have to make the free windows for private customers model work somehow.

A random question.
I run into this kind of video a lot. In work and on youtube (ignore the content, this is a random one I googled up):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0pCRBzmY10

The whole hand draws the thing in front of you thingy....

They all look very similar. Like they're made with a standard program.... Doth anyone know just what this program is?

I've no interest in making one of these videos but I'm curious just where they come from.

That looks right, thanks.
I've not heard of these before. Had thought it might be a template on some better known tool like after effects.

My wife was playing a 60s playlist last night.  I asked her "Hey, man, is that Freedom Rock?"  She didn't get it.   :(

Did anyone ever order one of those music compilations they sold on television?  My parents got a Time Life's 4 cassette compilation of Western music :alberta:; but I think that's the only one I've ever heard.
In Italy, for thirty years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love, they had five hundred years of democracy and peace—and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock

I recall getting a "Classical Thunder" (basically just a collection of the more highly dramatic, well-known classical music pieces...like the 1812 Overture) CD-set back in the day.

This made me think of a CD compilation: Big Shiny Tunes put out by Muchmusic (Canada's answer to MTV).  It took a variety of the previous year's legit #1 hits and compiled them all on one CD.  They came out annually for a number of years until CDs were killed off.  Googling it, Big Shiny Tunes 2 sold over 1 million copies - in a country of 30 million.

You could guarantee Big Shiny Tunes to be played at almost any party held near a university in the late 90s.
